About Us
In 2002, the Peace Officer Memorial Group of Stanislaus County (POMG) was established to educate the public about officers who die in the line of duty. This non-profit organization aims to support the families of fallen officers and raise awareness about the memorials in Stanislaus County, the State, and Nationally dedicated to these brave individuals. A key event organized by POMG is the Modesto Peace Officer Memorial Run, which started in 2012 and takes place on the first Sunday of October each year. This Peace Officers Memorial Run in Modesto honors and remembers those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
